Keith David is Barricade in Transformers Game not Movie E-mail
Written by Transformaniacs

It was really cool to find out Keith David was performing the voice of Barricade in the Transformers movie. He has the perfect voice and dramatic style for a ruthless Deception. Hell, he has one of the coolest voices for anything. Too bad it wasn't true, and we would not hear him in the Transformers movie. A few months ago IGN reported that Keith David was confirmed as Barricade in the "Michael Bay-directed film". I was as disappointed as most fans when I read reports from the recent Australian screening that Keith David did not perform the voice of Barricade, and Jess Harnell was credited as the Decepticon in a pressbook. We haven't recieved any relevant press releases in the Transformers webmaster program, so I contacted Keith David's manager, Josh Silver, and asked him what exactly Keith's involvement with Transformers is. He confirmed that Keith is only in the new Transformers video game. "As far as I know he's just supposed to be in the video game," Silver replied. He also said it would be a surprise if they used Keith's voice in the movie without telling them. I explained the reasons why this was a surprise to Transformers fans and those like myself publicizing the movie.

I blame myself for leaving the casting to the people who were actually involved with the movie.
